This will be a relatively flat but somewhat long urban hike, starting at Fort Funston, cutting a diagonal across San Francisco, and ending at the Ferry Building, in the Embarcadero. The hike will be about 15 miles. We will stop for lunch along the route. We did the crosstown trail last in June of 2024, from Candlestick Point to Land's End. This will be another fantastic opportunity to experience San Francisco's green spaces and unique character. |

The Dipsea Trail is a moderate 10-mile hike, starting and ending in Stinson Beach. Hike details are found here: https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/california/dipsea-trail--2. We will discuss practical strategies for managing mental health, stress, and overall well-being that are tailored to the legal profession, focusing on physical and professional health. Hiking and other structured social exercise activities, engaged in regularly and with intention, can form the foundation for a positive work-life balance, increase self-awareness and self-regulation, protect against attorney stress, and stimulate creativity and initiative both inside and outside a law practice. |
