Webinar: What You Weren’t Taught in Law School: How to Be Civil and Mind Your Ethical Obligations in What Seems Like an Uncivil World
This program offers 1 MCLE credit; 0.25 Ethics. You must register in advance to participate.
The adversarial nature of the litigation system might seem to encourage aggression and truth-bending. This panel seeks to dispel the myth that doing so is advantageous and will give guidance on how to work with colleagues, address judges, and deal with adverse parties while maintaining professionalism and civility. The panel will also address how this interplays with attorneys’ ethical obligations regarding interactions with the court and adversaries while keeping their client’s best interests in mind.
Speakers: Monique Jewett-Brewster, Hon. Meredith A. Jury, David Majchrzak.
