Webinar: The Impact of CPRA on Ad Tech Compliance

June 23, 2022 @ 12:00 pm 1:00 pm

Free event!

2022 is a pivotal year for businesses when it comes to privacy compliance. Current business practices, many shaped by the CCPA, will need to change to account for the CPRA. Among other material changes, the laws require adjustments to how businesses treat ad tech data disclosures, the contracts they must enter into with third parties, and important limitations on activities that can be performed by service providers. Michael Hahn, the general counsel for the IAB, will walk us through these changes, the particular challenges they pose to the industry and what solutions companies can utilize to engage in compliant transactions.   In particular, he will discuss how to solve for the lack of contractual privity in certain parts of the digital advertising, distribution chain; how and when to undertake measurement and frequency capping; and when it is appropriate to engage in cross-context behavioral advertising versus contextual advertising.

Speaker: Michael Hahn
Moderator: Taylor Bloom, Privacy Attorney – BakerHostetler
