California’s Approach to the Multistate Tax Base

This program will examine California’s approach to determining the multistate tax base, including apportionment and revenue sourcing. The program will begin by providing an overview of California’s current methodology. Previous approaches used and the evolution of California’s methodology to the present day will also be discussed. This program will explore the tax policy implications of California’s approach.
