On May 12, 2022, the Environmental Law Section of the California Lawyers Association will present its fourth Energy Law Conference. Held in Downtown Los Angeles at the main auditorium of the California Attorney General’s Office, this will be the Environmental Law Section’s first in-person event in more than two years!

The theme of this year’s conference is The Latest on California’s Clean Energy Transition, and this year’s programming will focus on California’s wide-ranging efforts to equitably transform our electric grid, transmission system, and our homes and communities away from a dependence on fossil fuels and toward more resilient, carbon-free energy sources. Our panels include 101-style and “nuts and bolts” perspectives on the energy system, as well as deep dives into complex areas of law such as building decarbonization, state and federal preemption, environmental review, grid interconnection, offshore wind leasing, and more.
