Message From the Chair

Happy New Year, ELS. Although 2026 has just begun, ELS is not slowing down.

Planning for the October 15-18 Environmental Law Conference at Yosemite^® has begun in earnest. If there an environmental law topic you want to see or potentially help plan, please submit your panel ideas by January 21. Your ideas make the conference better.

Other things happening this month:

• ELS is accepting applications for its 2026 Diversity & Inclusion Fellowship Program through January 23.  Tax-deductible donations to support the fellowship program will be accepted throughout the year.
• On January 13, ELS will be hosting a free Housing 101 webinar in anticipation of our all-day Housing Symposium on February 13 at UC Law San Francisco.
• Finally, join me on January  14 for Chairs’ Corner where former 2020 ELS Chair Jennifer Novak will share her insights on networking that we will put into practice.
