Purnima Viswanathan Bajpai and Naomi Dewey present “Will That Smiley Face Cost You a Case?: The Business of Law, Emojis, and Text Communication.” Jared Gordon explains how law firms may face exposure for website accessibility in a panel entitled “Website Complianceand Accessibility (ADA): How to Improve Your Law Firm’s Website for the Modern Client.” Alicia Journey provides useful tips on client and stress management in a panel called “Unplug and Debug the Stress of Client Communications: The Health and Wellness of effectively managing how to Avoid Client Overload and Increase Productivity.”
On May 17, seasoned practitoners and newer lawyers alike attended a series of MCLE panels co-produced by the Business Law and Solo and Small Firm Sections focused on mastering modern day client communication. The symposium was hosted by Santa Barbara Law School and concluded with a diversity and inclusion networking reception sponsored by JAMS.
