The California State Bar’s Attorney Guidelines of Civility and Professionalism are designed to foster respectful and professional behavior among attorneys practicing in California. These principles aim to preserve the integrity of the legal profession and uphold high standards of professionalism. Key elements include respectful conduct, courtesy, professionalism, and honesty. Although these guidelines are not formal rules enforced by the State Bar, they act as a voluntary code of conduct for attorneys in California.
