The California Lawyers Association (CLA) is pleased to announce that its position in its first ever amicus brief was confirmed by the California Supreme Court in the recent Barefoot v. Jennings opinion. The brief, filed by CLA's Trusts and Estate Section, addressed issues of standing in revocable trust cases as dictated by the Probate Code. Read more

Welcome to 2020! It’s hard to believe it’s the second decade of the 21st century. The United States District Court for the Central District of California invites applications for one half-time Pro Se Staff Attorney. A Pro Se Staff Attorney works under the supervision of United States Magistrate Judges. Duties of the position include drafting legal memoranda, reports and recommendations, decisions and orders.
