The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has rejected the A’s attempt to trademark the names “Las Vegas Athletics” and “Vegas Athletics.” The team, which plans to relocate to Nevada in 2028, has three months from the December 29 refusal date to request an extension of time to respond to the refusal and then six months to submit a new application.
