Family Law
A Message From the Executive Board
As June arrives, family law practice across the state shifts with the season. With schools out and summer schedules in full swing, attorneys are often busy navigating modified custody arrangements, coordinating long-distance parenting plans, and addressing time-sensitive filings before families head off on vacation.
This month also brings meaningful reminders of the evolving nature of family. Pride Month highlights the importance of inclusivity in our work, and Father’s Day prompts reflection on the many roles and responsibilities families balance year-round.
While the workload may heat up, so does the weather—so don’t forget to take care of yourself, too. Stay cool in and out of the courtroom: hydrate, take breaks, and build in moments of downtime where you can. A clear head helps ensure better advocacy for clients and balance for practitioners.
Wishing you a strong and centered start to the summer season.
