What’s up with us!
April 16 @ 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm
Free event! Self-study credit available.
What are California real property lawyers saying about What’s Up With Us!, the Real Property Law Section’s monthly real property case and section update?
“Love it!” 😍 “Made me think.” 🤔 “ Made me laugh.” 🤣 “ Made me revise my brief.” ✍🏻 “I am sad whenever I miss a month.” 🥺 “ I am glad knowing I can go to YouTube to catch up.” 😁
This month co-hosts Neil Kalin and Michael Simkin will once again discuss the most important and pertinent cases affecting real estate in California. As usual, attendees will earn one hour of self-study MCLE for free.* Plus, every attendee has a chance to win a gift card for one hour of MCLE credit from the pre-recorded RPLS library.
This month’s cases cover the following issues:
- Whether a terminated property manager is entitled to tenant protections;
- Whether payment after expiration of a fixed term lease automatically creates a new tenancy;
- Burden of proof to establish a prescriptive easement;
- Whether rent rules can be created by initiative and whether granting addition time to pay rent conflicts with State law; and…
- Sidewalk vendor rights and remedies.
* Each attendee will be provided with a copy of the presentation material and self-study certificate in the days following the webinar.
