What’s Up With Us!
May 15 @ 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm
Free event! Self-study credit available
This month co-hosts Neil Kalin and Michael Simkin will discuss cases addressing the following issues:
- Whether a plaintiff who identifies as a California LLC instead of a Delaware LLC forfeits an eviction order and, if so, whether the defect can be cured;
- Whether an unenforceable crime free housing ordinance is inconsistent with state law mandating landlords rid the property of gang activity;
- Whether a mandatory waiver to enter a bike fundraiser violates state law prohibiting contracts exempting one from negligent violation of state law; and
- Whether replacement of damaged grapevines by a citrus orchard suffices to allow the owner to avoid taxes on a judgment.
Will litigator Michael and transactional attorney Neil see things the same way? Log-in to find out. May 15, 2025, 12-1 pm
