Free Webinar: What’s New? With the New Lawyers Section and Saul Bercovitch

April 29 @ 12:00 pm 1:00 pm

Free event! No MCLE credit offered.

Join us for What’s New? With the New Lawyers Section, a free monthly discussion led by attorney members of the New Lawyers Section of the California Lawyers Association. NLS represents, supports, and connects all lawyers in California in their first 8 years of practice. This is a space to connect with the NLS community, ask questions, and collaborate on ideas to improve programming for new lawyers. Whether you’re new to CLA or are a seasoned new attorney, don’t miss out on this chance to meet together!

This month we are excited to welcome Saul Bercovitch, Chief Governmental Affairs Officer for the California Lawyers Association. Saul will discuss the unique role that CLA – and its sections and committees – play in advocating on behalf of CLA’s diverse members across different practice areas, practice settings, and parts of the state. He will also share opportunities for new lawyers to plug in and get involved in CLA’s government outreach efforts throughout the year.

Saul Bercovitch

Saul Bercovitch serves as the Chief Governmental Affairs Officer for the California Lawyers Association, where he oversees the advocacy efforts and governmental relations. Before joining CLA in February 2018, shortly after CLA was established, Saul worked for the State Bar of California for 16 years as Legislative Counsel and as an attorney in the Office of General Counsel. Prior to the State Bar, he worked for three years as a Principal Legislative Analyst with the University of California, Office of the President. He started his legal career practicing civil litigation for 13 years at two large law firms in San Francisco. Saul’s pastimes include traveling, growing tomatoes, and perfecting his barbecuing skills.
