The Coalition Against Insurance Fraud out of Washington, DC is providing an expert to speak on the $9 Billion a year problem of workers’ compensation claimant fraud. The retired California fraud prosecutor will discuss how to prevent claimant fraud. If prevention is unsuccessful, how this crime is investigated and prosecuted will be discussed.

Dominic Dugo, retired Chief Deputy District Attorney from San Diego, is the DELTA GROUP Fraud Division Vice-President. Dominic advises Delta and its clients on the effective strategies to investigate insurance fraud, including providing valuable training on various fraud topics. Dominic spent 33 years as a prosecutor in San Diego with 27 years prosecuting and then supervising the insurance fraud program. Under his leadership, San Diego has been recognized as having one of the best insurance fraud prosecutorial offices in the country. Dominic graduatied in the top 5% of his law school class at De Paul University in Chicago. He was co-chair of the Coalition for 3 years. He now is a law enforcement advisor to the CA Labor Commissioner and co-chair of the Coalition’s Workers’ Comp Task Force.
