Free Webinar: Let’s Beat Breast Cancer!
October 30 @ 12:15 pm – 1:15 pm
Free event! No MCLE Credit Offered!
Presented by the Health and Wellness Committee.
Discover how to prepare cancer-fighting meals rich in antioxidants and phytochemicals, featuring high-fiber, low-fat foods and healthy dairy alternatives. This class will explain how certain foods and nutrients can either promote or discourage the growth of various cancers (including breast cancer); while also providing step-by-step demonstrations of simple recipes you can easily re-create at home.
This program is offered by the national nonprofit Physician’s Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM.ORG).
Why this class is valuable for men as well:
- Men can also be diagnosed with breast cancer. While the rate is lower (about one-tenth of that among women), awareness and prevention are still important.
- The foods we highlight also support overall health and help reduce the risk of other chronic diseases that affect many Americans.
- Men may have sisters, mothers, wives, daughters, or friends who are at risk or have a history of cancer. By learning this material, men can be strong advocates and share life-changing knowledge with their loved ones.
