This program will provide a Tax Court judge’s perspective on the shifting composition of the Court’s workload, especially conservation-easement, microcaptive-insurance, and transfer-pricing cases. The judge will also briefly describe for the audience the half-dozen new judges who’ve joined the Court and make some educated guesses on the effect of the cuts in Chief Counsel personnel and the IRS more generally on the Court’s workload. He will also include some recent cases of note and some cases to watch.
