The purpose of the webinar is to discuss the various conflicts of interest that arise when representing organizations or corporate clients. This webinar will focus on Rule 1.13 and the lawyer-client relationship in terms of representing organizations when their members, officers, and directors act in ways that may conflict with the goals of the organization. This webinar also includes best practices when navigating intra-company conflicts to avoid ethical pitfalls and malpractice claims.

Caitlin M. Jones

Caitlin M. Jones, Esq. is an experienced litigation and trial attorney in Pettit Kohn Ingrassia Lutz & Dolin PC’s Business and Professional Liability practice group. She has tried more than a dozen jury trials and over 30 bench trials to verdict. As a trial attorney, she has handled a broad range of lawsuits representing individuals and business clients in state and federal court. Ms. Jones focuses her practice on professional liability, legal malpractice defense, law firm risk management, ethics consulting, and State Bar defense. She has had significant success handling all aspects of litigation, helping clients achieve practical results that are in the client’s best interests. She is recognized in Best Lawyers and Super Lawyers: Rising Stars for her work in Professional Malpractice Law. Ms. Jones received her Juris Doctor from George Washington University School of Law and received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan. 

Sanjesh Sharma, Assistant General Counsel, Patents at Johnson & Johnson Vision, Inc., leads intellectual property strategy for the company’s digital health, diagnostic, and refractive and laser cataract surgery portfolios. Ms. Sharma brings extensive expertise in patent, trade secret, and copyright litigation, global patent portfolio management, patent prosecution at the USPTO, IP due diligence, licensing, post-grant proceedings, and freedom to operate clearances. Her representative industry experience spans medical devices, biopharmaceuticals, computer software, and consumer electronics.
