The purpose of this webinar is to assist practitioners in effectively resolving cases through the mediation process when insurance carriers are involved. The objective is to provide insight into the needs of insurance carriers for information to evaluate a case and prepare reserves prior to mediation. Mr. Trester will also provide case studies and share interesting examples to facilitate the presentation.

Fredric Trester has been on the Los Angeles Superior Court (LASC) mediation panel and also acted as a Neutral Evaluator under the LASC Neutral Evaluation Program. He has been involved in over 700 mediations and regularly assists parties in resolving their real estate disputes. As a former Adjunct Professor at Southwestern University School of Law, Mr. Trester taught Real Estate Transactions and methods of resolving disputes arising from purchase and sale transactions. He was also nominated as Real Property Person of the Year by the State Bar Subsection on Real Estate Transactions and authored a chapter in the California Education of the Bar Treatise entitled “Real Estate Brokers Law and Litigation.” Mr. Trester applies his 40 years of experience as a licensed broker and attorney specializing in representing clients in real estate litigation, to help parties engaged in alternative dispute resolution better understand the issues and realities of litigating versus taking a pragmatic business approach to disputes. Mr. Trester is a committed mediator who does not give up until the case is resolved or the parties clearly understand what steps are required to mend their differences.

Deb Graceffa is the founder of Graceffa Law, Inc. and the Graceffa Dispute Resolution Center. Before practicing law, Deb founded multiple successful businesses, including working as a real estate broker and real estate developer.
Deb launched her legal career nearly two decades ago, focusing on civil litigation, real estate litigation and real estate transactions. As an attorney, she represented all sides of thousands of disputes, gaining a balanced, 360-degree view of how to resolve legal, fi nancial, and business problems. Her combined business and legal experience gave her a unique background to tackle and creatively resolve disputes. She founded the Graceffa Dispute Resolution Center to offer a more modern and consultative approach to dispute resolution including mediation, arbitration, consulting and training.
