PRACTICE AREA GROUP / JOURNAL HIGHLIGHT: Common Interest Developments/Homeowners Association
By Kyle Yaege, Esq.
The Real Property Law Section of the California Lawyers Association has organized Practice Area Committees (PACs) to focus on specific areas of real property law. Each month, E-News will highlight a different PAC.
This month we are highlighting the Common Interest Developments/Homeowners Association (“CID/HOA”) practice area group. The CID/HOA PAC is an active, vibrant committee comprised of real estate attorneys who form, advise, and represent stakeholders in common interest developments throughout the State of California, as well as legal practitioners who have an interest in CID/HOA issues as part of their general practice. The CID/HOA PAC generally meets every 3-4 weeks, virtually, to discuss current legal issues in the CID/HOA sphere. In addition to their periodic meetings, the members of the CID/HOA PAC regularly contribute to California Lawyers Association publications, and present at continuing education events addressing CID/HOA legal issues.
The members of the CID/HOA PAC are (in random order after chair): Mark Allen Wilson, Esq. of Community Legal Advisors, Inc. (Chair), Barry Ross, Esq. or Barry A. Ross, APC, Mary Howell, Esq. of Epsten Grinnell & Howell, APC., Danielle Wakefield, Esq., Edward Teyssier, Esq. of Microwave Solutions, Inc., Rosemarie Anne MacGuinness, Esq. of SirkinLaw, APC., and Katrina Solomatina, Esq. of Buchalter.
We thank the members of the Commercial Leasing PAC for their time, their generosity, and their enthusiasm.
If you have an interest in participating in the Commercial Leasing PAC, please contact Mark Wilson, Esq. at mwilson@attorneyforhoa.com. The CID/HOA PAC looks forward to welcoming new members and new ideas in 2022!
