Lien Lingo: An Introduction to Litigating Workers’ Compensation Liens in California

A fairly new attorney who is going to practice workers’ compensation law on the defense side will begin with litigating liens. To determine their plan of action moving forward, new attorneys who get files that are in the lien stage should look at whether the cases resolved by means of Compromise and Release, Stipulations with Request for Award, or Findings and Award.
