Ca. Trs. & Estates Quarterly 2019, Volume 25, Issue 3

FROM THE EDITORS-IN-CHIEF

By Mary K. deLeo, Esq.,* and Matthew W. McMurtrey, Esq.**

When we started our term as Editors-in-Chief of the Quarterly, we were excited to start our journey. Now as we finish our term, we are excited—and sad—to see it end. It has been noted by several former Editors-in-Chief that it takes a "village to produce each Quarterly issue."1 That may be an understatement. The amount of effort that every editor at every level devotes to the Quarterly is considerable. But we have never had the pleasure of working with a better group of gifted, highly motivated, and hard-working colleagues as when we have been on the staff of the Quarterly. To say that working on the Quarterly is rewarding is certainly an understatement.

Our Executive Editors, Thomas Shaver and Carlena Tapella, have now been elected as the new "Chiefs" for next year. When any problem arose, and problems always arise, they answered the call with vigor and dedication. We could not have been successful without their help, and we know that we are leaving the Quarterly in good hands.

Assisting Tom, Carlena, and us were our Managing Editors, Kristen Caverly, Michael Rosen-Prinz, Howard Kipnis, and Mason Brawley. We thank them for reading every article, cite-checking every endnote, and managing the issue editors and authors.
