I. HOUSE AND SENATE PASS DIFFERENT VERSIONS OF MEDICAID TRANSFER "REFORM"
The Senate passed on November 3, 2005, and the House passed on November 18, 2005, differing versions of the Omnibus Deficit Reduction Act of 2005 (Sen. No. 1932). Both bodies then recessed for Thanksgiving without resolving the differences in their bills, leaving Medi-Cal planners continuing to grapple with uncertainty. The following summarizes and analyzes each bill’s proposed changes.
