Justin T. Miller Honored with the 2017 V. Judson Klein Award

The Taxation Section of the California State Bar is pleased to have presented the 2017 V. Judson Klein Award to Justin T. Miller of BNY Mellon at the Annual Meeting of the California Tax Bar and California Tax Policy Conference held on November 1 – 3, 2017, at the Park Hyatt Aviara in Carlsbad, California.

The V. Judson Klein Award is presented on an annual basis by the Taxation Section to a recipient in mid-career who is selected by the Executive Committee. With respect to this award, the official statement of the Taxation Section reads:

Justin Miller is a National Wealth Strategist at BNY Mellon, wealth management. He works collaboratively with other advisors to provide comprehensive wealth planning advice to clients and their families. He also is an adjunct professor at Golden Gate University School of Law, a Fellow of The American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC), and a sought-after speaker on tax, estate planning and family

governance topics for leading conferences throughout the country, including events hosted by the AAML, the ABA, ACTEC, CalCPA, Santa Clara University, Stanford University, the State Bar of California, the State Bar of Georgia, the State Bar of Texas, STEP, UCLA, the University of Notre Dame, Vistage International, the Washington State Bar Association, and YPO. In addition, he has published numerous articles in publications such as the California Tax Lawyer, the California Trusts and Estates Quarterly, State Tax Notes, Tax Notes, and Trusts & Estates, and he is frequently quoted as an industry expert in the media.
