Message from the Editor-in-Chief
Misti M. Schmidt
We’re happy to introduce the executive director of the California Lawyer’s Association, Ona Dosunmu, who graciously provided the following welcome message. I’ll keep this message short so that you can dive into that, and the excellent articles awaiting you. I hope you will enjoy the light intellectual property theme of this issue, with three articles that explore the intersection between intellectual property and real property, followed by an article that poses a thoughtful solution to the inevitable land use conflicts between existing non-residential uses and new housing. Stay tuned for our next issue, which will be jointly published with the Tax Section and will focus on the intersection between real property and tax.
Please email me at mschmidt@conservationpartners. com if you have any article suggestions or feedback. We’re also recruiting for the Editorial Board and would love to hear from you! If you are interested in learning more about joining the Editorial Board, please save the date for one of our orientations: September 11 in San Francisco or September 13 in San Diego. See page 26 for more details.
