The Singapore Convention and California’s Role in a New Era of International Mediation

2019 is a banner year for the growth of international dispute resolution in California. On January 1, 2019 a new statute, Senate Bill 766 (2017-2018 Reg. Sess.), clarified the rules permitting out-of-state and foreign counsel to appear in international commercial arbitrations in California. (Code Civ.
