When I talk to young lawyers and give them tips, advice, and guidance, I am struck by the extent to which I am a conduit for techniques I learned from another lawyer and decided to appropriate without asking permission, much less saying thanks. While there is no way I can thank all of the lawyers in the limited space available, I would like to express my gratitude to a few of them.
