Experiences of a New Lawyer

As the first lawyer in my family, my perception of the practice of law came from the news, movies, and books. While law school provided the foundation necessary to begin my journey of practicing law, it became apparent, rather quickly, that passing the bar exam was only the beginning. I’ve learned that "being a lawyer" is an endless journey, not a final destination.
In the first few years of this journey, my experiences have taught me several priceless lessons:
