While people will always need lawyers, it’s more than apparent that the demand for high-end legal services has flattened. According to Weil, Gotshal & Manges’ Executive Partner Barry Wolf:

the overall market for transaction activity remains at the
lower levels which we believe is the new normal … it appears
that the market for premium legal services is continuing
to shrink.1
