Message From the Chair
By Tangela Terry, Esq.
Law Office of Tangela D. Terry
Welcome to the August issue of the e-TBL. It has been my honor to serve as LPMT Chair for the 2013-2014 bar year. During my time on the Executive Committee I have had the pleasure of meeting and working with some tremendously talented and super nice people. The goal this year was to continue our tradition of providing quality legal programming, services, and articles of interest to our members. I believe that we accomplished this goal; the e-TBL Committee did a fantastic job of securing quality articles that would be of interest to our readers, the webinars that were put on by our Education Committee were both timely and thought provoking. I hope that you had an opportunity to take at least one of our webinars, if you have not, I encourage you to do so. Please visit the State Bar of California Office of Education’s online catalog for a listing of materials that we have available in our library. For your convenience, a here is a direct link to LPMT programs in the catalog.
I would like to introduce you to our Incoming Chair, Nyanza Shaw, Nyanza will begin her term as Chair at the conclusion of the Annual Meeting in September. I am confident that Nyanza possesses the ability to lead this section. Currently, she serves as Vice Chair of the Section and is the Co-Chair of the Education and Social Media Committees.
To our members, thank you for being a part of our section, I have not met the majority of you but have had the pleasure of corresponding with a few of you via email. I hope that you are taking advantage of all of the benefits that LPMT has to offer. Encourage others to join our section, dues are only $85.00 per year and membership is open to non-attorneys as well!
