INTRODUCING

AARON COLE

Aaron Cole is Of Counsel at Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart in Los Angeles, where his practice focuses on the litigation of wage and hour class actions and representative actions for employers and entrepreneurs in a wide variety of industries. In addition to his litigation practice, Mr. Cole regularly provides advice to employers on employment law compliance and litigation avoidance. Prior to joining Ogletree, Mr. Cole was an associate at Irell & Manella LLP in Los Angeles, where he represented employers in wage and hour class actions. After law school, he served as a law clerk to the Honorable Gary A. Feess of the United States District Court, Central District of California. While attending UCLA School of Law, Mr. Cole also served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Nora M. Manella of the Central District of California. He attended the University of Washington, where he received his B. A. in 1986, and graduated from UCLA School of Law in 2004. He was named a Southern California Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2015, and was chosen as a Southern California Super Lawyer in 2018. In addition to serving on the Executive Committee of the CLA Labor and Employment Law Section, Mr. Cole is an Executive Committee Member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Section.

GLENN DANAS

Glenn Danas is a partner with Robins Kaplan LLP in Los Angeles, where he practices in the Appellate Advocacy and Guidance Group, focusing on a range of substantive legal areas including employment and consumer class actions. Prior to his recent move to Robins Kaplan, Glenn chaired the appellate and complex motions practice group at a prominent plaintiff-side wage and hour class action firm in LA. He has argued over 35 appeals in various California appellate courts, including wins at the California Supreme Court in the consumer protection matter McGill v. Citibank and in employment cases Williams v. Superior Court (Marshalls) and Iskanian v. CLS Transportation Los Angeles. In 2017, he was named among the "Top 100 Attorneys in California" by the Daily Journal, and in 2015, his work on Iskanian led to his selection as one of California Lawyers "California Attorneys of the Year" (CLAY Award). He was also named one of the "Top 20 Attorneys in California under 40" in 2013 by the Daily Journal, and has been named one of the "Top Labor and Employment Attorneys in California" by the Daily Journal each year from 2015-2018. Mr. Danas graduated from Emory University School of Law with honors, and was a member of the Emory Law Journal. As an undergraduate, he attended Cornell University, where he received a B.S. degree in Industrial and Labor Relations. Following law school, he served as a law clerk for the Honorable U.W. Clemon, Chief U.S. District Judge for the Northern District of Alabama. Mr. Danas is an active member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association, where he serves on its State Appellate Judicial Evaluation Committee and the Amicus Briefs Committee. He also holds leadership positions in the California Lawyers Association. In addition to his membership on this Section’s Executive Committee, he serves on the Litigation Section’s Committee on Appellate Courts. He is a frequent speaker on PAGA and wage and hour litigation issues. A dog lover, he does community work with Pugs N’ Pals of Southern California and the Basset Rescue Network.
