PATENT INTEREST GROUP
The Patent Interest Group provides both education and connection between members of the State Bar Intellectual Property Section who live and work in the world of patents. The Patent Interest Group meets quarterly, enabling our membership throughout California to hear qualified and unique speakers, hold discussions on relevant topics and learn through structured presentations.
The Patent Interest Group also holds webinars providing access to dynamic speakers on topics of interest to patent practitioners that offer MCLE credit. In January, the group hosted a program "Current Developments in the Ethics World" by ethics professor Carol Langford, which provided a one hour MCLE credit in ethics. In November the group hosted a program entitled "Industry-Academia Collaborations against the Backdrop of Utah v. Max-Planck-Gesellschaft and Stanford v. Roche" with speakers Joseph Yang and Hardip Passananti. Both programs are available for viewing on-line through the State Bar website to obtain MCLE. Notice of future meetings and webinars will be provided in Inevitable Disclosures, a bi-monthly email newsletter provided from the State Bar IP Section.
