LITIGATION INTEREST GROUP
The Litigation Interest Group spans all the substantive IP law issues, with a focus on advocacy and presentation of those issues before various administrative and judicial forums. We hold quarterly business meetings to allow full participation by interested IG members and put on webinar programs either separately or in conjunction with other interest groups. In February, the IG hosted a webinar entitled, "How Did They Do That? Counterclaim Defensive Strikes: Smaller Company Strategies for Fast-Ramping a Patent Portfolio."
The IG’s April program featured retired judge and JAMS mediator, James Kleinberg. He spoke on "70 (or so) Courtroom Tips and Tools." The IG is also working with the Trademark Law Interest Group to cohost a program on issue preclusion from trademark and patent administrative proceedings.
