COPYRIGHT INTEREST GROUP
The Copyright Interest Group is a forum for attorneys, academics and law students from across the ideological spectrum to learn about and debate the cutting-edge copyright issues affecting a wide-range of industries as well as the public. We host seminars on important legal developments as well as on topics related to the entertainment, technology, art and publishing worlds. We also hold regular calls for members of our Interest Group to discuss timely issues and recent events. In October, we organized the Copyright Office Comes to California conference in Los Angeles and San Francisco, which featured senior officials from the U.S. Copyright Office and other leading copyright experts discussing the new Compendium III, recent copyright cases, current congressional and Copyright Office activities and the future of the 21st Century Copyright Office.
Please watch the IP Section’s Inevitable Bisclosures e-newsletter for updates on upcoming programs. We are also looking for volunteers interested in organizing substantive programs, in writing on copyright topics or in organizing social events. We hope that you will join us and we welcome your ideas, your enthusiasm and your energy. If you are interested in volunteering or in receiving emails directly from our group, please contact one of our officers listed below:
