The close of a year is typically a sign to look ahead to what’s coming, but it’s also a good time to look back and reflect on the events that have happened in the previous year. This is as true of law as it is of any other aspect of our culture. This article looks specifically at the case law surrounding the termination right found in the Copyright Act, and discusses two cases of note from the past year: one in the Ninth Circuit, and the other in the Second Circuit.
