TECHNOLOGY, INTERNET AND PRIVACY INTEREST GROUP
The Technology, Internet, and Privacy Interest Group, formerly the Computer Law Interest Group, has expanded and refined our scope. Today, we focus on the nexus of technology, the Internet, privacy, and the law: we examine issues that are pushing the envelope and look for envelopes that need pushing.
2013 was a big year for us, and we anticipate that 2014 will be even bigger. From surveillance to security breaches, privacy as we know it is shifting rapidly, and the laws that regulate it are changing at all levels to adapt. The laws that structure our use of the Internet are evolving, and California practitioners need to be aware of what these laws cover. Our Chair, Hannah Poteat, and Vice Chair, Bennet Kelley, would like to welcome all new members to participate in our monthly phone conferences and online chats. Notices will be posted in Inevitable Disclosures.
If you would like to participate in the group, if you have an idea for a program or publication, or if you have any questions, please contact us:
