A PAINTING BASED ON A PHOTO IS NOT INFRINGING – THE SWEDISH SCAPEGOATS CASE
Once again, a European court dealt with a lawsuit for copyright infringement and appropriation in relation to a painting and a photograph.1 This time it was the Supreme Court of Sweden that weighed in on this issue. And it all came down to a goat.2 Well, at least the meaning of including a goat in a painting.
