Family Law News Issue 1, 2019, Volume 41, No. 1

Message from the Editor

Nathan Gabbard

We work in a field of words. Our time is the service we provide, and our words are the product. How we invest our time and use our words will shape the landscape of our legacies. Did we inspire change for the better? Did we incite negativity?

Reasonable minds may differ on the meaning of certain words or the application of facts to legal authority. The power of persuasion may ultimately rest in the manner of articulating such differing perspectives.

This issue explores topics ranging from challenging whether case law is ripe for revision, to consolidating polarized views on psychological testing in child custody evaluations, and how to handle sensitive health related information or the death of a party.
