Criminal Law

Crim. Law Journal Winter 2016, Vol. 16, Issue 1

MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIR

This Edition of the Criminal Law Journal has something that should interest every one of our members. For new practitioners, there is Albert Camacho’s explication of the ramification of Prop 47, as well as a listing of helpful do’s and don’ts regarding the admissibility of evidence from distinguished members of the California Judiciary. There is a fascinating commentary on the trial of mob boss Lucky Luciano – complete with pictures!

Finally, for those of us who have been practicing for awhile, there is a tribute to two criminal practitioners, Marshall Schulman and Greg Paraskou, who are hanging it up after many decades spent defending the rights of the accused. They will be missed in the courtroom, as longtime members of the Criminal Law Executive Committee, and as the best representatives of our profession.
