Dear members of the Business Law Section (the "BLS" or "Section") and readers of the Business Law News:
I am pleased to headline this issue of the Business Law News, the BLS’s flagship publication, with my third message as Chair of the Section.
The current issue of the Business Law News is an insolvency-themed issue, with an article from the Non-Profit Organizations Committee on what to do when you have an insolvent non-profit corporation and separate contributions from the Insolvency Law Committee on the effect of the insolvency of a construction company on the priorities of a secured creditor; the so-called "community discharge" in bankruptcy; an overview of the Ninth Circuit Bankruptcy Appellate Panel and its 2015 term decisions; and a fun (yes, I did actually use the word "fun" in connection with insolvency) test on recent developments in insolvency law.
