FREE on-demand CLE Program for the month of April!

The CLA is offering a complimentary on-demand CLE program for the month of April. It is the 2015 Public Records Conference program entitled Ethical Issues Related to Open Government Law. Click here to view the program.

This session explored ethical issues arising under public entities’ obligations to provide public record access, including determining who your client is for purposes of the attorney-client privilege and related third-party protection of confidential personal information held by agencies. Discussion also included the potential waiver of any privileges caused by inadvertent PRA-document disclosures and the public attorney’s potential ethical duty to third parties under this circumstance.
