Litigation
Spotlight on the California Litigation Journal
Since 1987, the Litigation Section’s premiere publication has been “California Litigation: The Journal of the Litigation Section,” which publishes three issues a year (Spring, Summer, and Fall), containing roughly a dozen articles of interest to California litigators. (See here https://calawyers.org/section/litigation/publications/ ) The journal’s circulation is approximately 9,000, consisting of every Litigation Section member and nearly all California judges. Each issue includes a message from the Section Chair. Although the journal does not contain advertising, it often promotes Section events and programs. The Litigation Section publishes California Litigation under the supervision of the California Litigation Editorial Board, comprised of an Editor-in-Chief (currently Benjamin Shatz) and over a dozen members who are either Litigation Section members, judges, or court staff. (See the Editorial Board’s webpage here.)
The Journal welcomes article submissions on any relevant topic. Articles may be practical, academic, entertaining — or preferably all three. The Journal also welcomes article ideas. And the Journal welcomes inquiries about joining the Editorial Board. In short, the Journal welcomes any and all feedback from Litigation Section members.
