New CACI Revisions Released for Comment

The Judicial Council has released an Invitation to Comment on proposed revisions to CACI civil jury instructions in the following areas: negligence, motor vehicles and highway safety, dangerous conditions of public property, assault and battery, insurance litigation, FEHA, CFRA, Labor Code actions, civil rights, vicarious responsibility, damages, unlawful detainer, and construction law.  Comments are due by March 3. The Invitation to Comment and instructions on how to submit comments are here. Comments from attorneys help to ensure that CACI instructions are legally accurate, neutral, and comprehensible to lay jurors. The Litigation Section’s Jury Instructions Committee is in the process of reviewing the proposed revisions.
