USPTO updates the General Requirements Bulletin for admission to the examination for registration to practice in patent cases

The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has updated the General Requirements Bulletin (GRB) for admission to the examination for registration to practice in patent cases before the USPTO. On March 23, 2021, the USPTO published a Federal Register Notice requesting public input on administrative updates to the GRB. This notice requested comments on changing the scientific and technical criteria for admission to the registration examination. In response to the comments received, the USPTO is changing the criteria as proposed in the March notice and has published another Federal Register Notice to that effect.
