What’s Up With Us!  Real Property Law Section monthly podcast-style webinar discussion of real property hot topics, new cases, statutes, a guest interview, and announcement of upcoming Real Property Law Section events that you don’t want to miss.

This month, hosts Neil Kalin and Ashley Peterson, will interview two attorneys representing local governments and agencies:  Gillian van Muyden, Chief Assistant city attorney for the City of Glendale and Ann Lanphar, partner with Aleshire & Wynder.  They also will discuss real property concerns facing local government and the following recent cases and authorities of interest:

(1) Whether a disparate impact claim under fair housing laws can state a viable claim against an approved development based on a gentrification theory;

(2) Distinguishing between long and short term rental prohibitions;

(3) An attorney general letter warning of local government impediments to recently enacted SB 9;

And, more. This one hour webinar is free!  Wednesday, May 18, from 1-2 pm.  Register here.

Last month Neil and Ashley, interviewed appellate specialist Ben Shatz and discussed: (1) a junior lender’s duty to a borrower; (2) a licensed contractor’s rights if not named in a contract; (3) an attorney general opinion on HOA access; and (3) a property occupant post-judgment rights.
