Wellness Book Club: The Anxious Lawyer
November 4 @ 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm
Free event! No MCLE. Presented by the CLA Health and Wellness Committee
Many lawyers feel hesitant to try meditation, which can seem alien and inaccessible from the vantage point of a professional culture that places great value on logic and reason. The Anxious Lawyer provides a straightforward 8-week introductory program on meditation and mindfulness, created by lawyers for lawyers. The program draws on examples from the authors’ professional and personal lives to create an accessible and enjoyable entry into practices that can reduce anxiety, improve focus and clarity, and enrich the quality of life.
We will be joined by Jeena Cho, co-author of “The Anxious Lawyer: An 8-Week Guide to a Joyful and Satisfying Law Practice Through Mindfulness and Meditation” to discuss the book. This will be a great opportunity to ask Jeena questions about her own mindfulness and meditation practices in addition to sharing your own experiences and take-aways from the book with peers.
