Purpose of this webinar is for trial attorneys to develop useful tools to limit and/or outright knock out an expert’s opinions even when the Trial Judge is inclined to allow the expert to testify.
During this webinar, participants will learn how to use/bolster your use of California Evidence Code Section 402, which permits the Court to hold a hearing outside the presence of the jury when the existence of a preliminary fact is disputed or to rule on the question of the admissibility of evidence.

Robert M. Bodzin is a Partner in the San Francisco office of GRSM and Northern California Commercial Litigation Practice Group Leader. Robert also has substantial experience defending Class Actions, Directors & Officers and Shareholder Litigation and Product & General Liability Litigation. He successfully tries, mediates, and arbitrates complex litigation cases on behalf of businesses and individuals and he has done so in both California and New York for 30 years.
Emily Genge is a Partner in the Walnut Creek office of GRSM. She is a member of the Retail and Hospitality practice group. Emily defends businesses of varying sizes, including large and mid-size restaurant franchises, small businesses and transportation companies against personal injury claims, motor vehicle collisions, contract disputes, and premises liability actions. She works with the corporate clients from inception through trial.
