Online enforcement of intellectual property rights is always a challenge. This seminar will give an overview of the options available and different solutions on how to overcome the many challenges of the internet world.

Sameer Sami is a lawyer working in IP for around 15 years. He currently heads an IP service firm in Pakistan, and he is also studying LLM in Intellectual Property from Queen Mary University – University of London. Sameer is experienced in advising clients on various trademark issues relating to formulation of clearance, filing, prosecution, enforcement strategies including domain names and copyright. He started his IP career in 2007 and until 2016 worked in Pakistan’s biggest IP firm. However, in 2016, he was invited to Saudi Arabia by a Saudi firm as a guest speaker to train their staff on various IP procedures. During that time, he joined a California based IP firm as local representative in Asia and Middle east region to coordinate and process various IP filings in different jurisdictions. In 2019, he joined one of the largest IP service Company of the Arab world and assumed charge of its Pakistan office as a C.E.O.
