Lita Abella brings a wealth of diverse experience and a deep commitment to empowerment and leadership. As the CEO of Abella & Associates Group LLC, she has honed her skills in transformative coaching and strategic consulting, empowering individuals and organizations to reach their fullest potential.
With a Juris Doctor degree from Western State University College of Law and a background as a law clerk for several prosecutorial agencies, Lita possesses a solid foundation in legal principles and conflict resolution. Her expertise extends to public speaking on educational presentations to attorneys and legal professionals on critical topics such as substance use disorders, mental health issues, and work-life balance strategies. She is also a professor of paralegal studies at Mt. San Antonio College.
Having served with the State Bar of California for over a decade in investigative and leadership roles, including her decade of experience on the union executive board, Lita has demonstrated exceptional problem-solving abilities, a strong sense of fairness, and a tireless advocacy for workers’ rights. Her extensive experience with the Los Angeles Police Department, where she held various roles and was one of the first female minority to achieve the rank of lieutenant, underscores her resilience, adaptability, and leadership under pressure.
As a licensed private investigator and seasoned entrepreneur for 24 years, Lita brings a strategic mindset and a keen eye for detail to the table. Her long-standing involvement in the fitness, health, and wellness industry, coupled with national certifications as a fitness instructor, reflects her dedication to personal well-being and holistic growth.
Through one-on-one coaching, workshops, and customized programs, Lita helps clients identify their strengths, explore new possibilities, and develop effective strategies to navigate the complexities of life. Her holistic approach addresses the emotional, mental, and practical aspects of personal and professional growth, empowering clients to make informed decisions and achieve sustainable success. Lita’s commitment to excellence is further exemplified by her training and certifications, including Diversity and Inclusion from Cornell University, Project Management, and Certified Life Coach.
Greg Dorst was born in Fontana CA in 1955, the son steel mill parents. In 1973 he graduated from Chaffey High School and elected to attend Claremont McKenna College in Claremont, CA. By 1983 Greg had earned a law school degree from the University of La Verne College of Law and passed the California State Bar Exam.
As an attorney, Greg worked as a trial lawyer for the San Bernardino County Office of the District Attorney and as a private practitioner specializing in criminal defense and real estate litigation. In July of 1997, Greg stopped practicing law and began a new chapter in his life.
The year 2000 brought Certification as an Addiction Specialist and a career in the field of mental health and addiction. In 2004 Greg was selected to consult for the Other Bar, working with attorneys, judges and law students in need of help for substance abuse issues and mental health needs. Moreover, in 2009 Greg became the CEO of Social Science Services, Inc., providing treatment for concurrent substance use disorders and mental health concerns for men, women, women with children and special needs adults at various sites throughout the Inland Empire area.
Dovetailing with his work with the Other Bar, Greg is an Ordained Minister and Sr. Minister at Unity of Pasadena, bringing a wealth of spiritual knowledge and healing experience to those in need. In addition to the foregoing, Greg has written articles for publications across the wellness spectrum on physical, social, mental, emotional and spiritual awareness and wellness techniques. Greg was a founding member of the Attorney Wellness Committee for the California Lawyers Association.
Attorney Erin Joyce has extensive experience in State Bar investigations and disciplinary proceedings, plus over twenty-five years of civil litigation practice. Erin was admitted in 1990 and practiced for nearly eight years in an intellectual property boutique before joining the Office of Chief Trial Counsel as a prosecutor for the State Bar, from 1997 through 2016. Erin has over twenty years of experience handling all aspects of discipline cases against attorneys in State Bar Court, from the filing of the complaint through trial and review. She has personally tried dozens of State Bar trials and several appeals. Erin has a comprehensive understanding of how State Bar investigations and proceedings unfold. Before going into private practice, Erin served as Chief Special Investigator for the Los Angeles Fire Department, as a prosecutor for the State Bar of California, and as a lawyer for multiple private practices.
