The program will discuss tax compliance issues. Risks of an audit for law firms and how to handle a tax audit. What records and documents the government will focus on? We will also discuss how to deal with unpaid taxes, IRS collection process and collection alternatives. Employment taxes and personal responsibility. Other compliance issues, including cash reporting requirements, foreign bank account reporting and potential IRS requests for information.

Igor S. Drabkin is a principal of Holtz, Slavett & Drabkin, A Professional Law Corporation. Igor is certified as a Tax Law Specialist by the Board of Legal Specialization of the State Bar of California. Igor is a former Senior Trial Attorney with the Office of Chief Counsel, Internal Revenue Service, and a former Special Assistant US Attorney. He devotes his skills and experience to representation of clients in disputes with the Internal Revenue Service and State taxing authorities, both administratively and in court. He litigates cases in all federal and state courts. In addition, Mr. Drabkin represents clients in tax audits, fraud and criminal investigations, administrative appeals, and collection matters. He has a lot of experience with international tax enforcement, including representation of clients in Offshore Voluntary Disclosure programs, FBAR audits, international tax investigations, and litigation related to FBAR and foreign asset reporting penalties.
